Eventually he left and joined US NASCAR racing, who took him mostly in an attempt to attract the Hispanic fan base, knowing very well that he didn't have much of a chance against the US redneck club of drivers. And there he is now for several years, performing mediocratly, but at least he has no sugardaddy to pay for him to drive, he gets his own sponsorships. As far as his anger and his recklessness is concerned, NASCAR is very strict and cut his wings early on, plus the redneck US drivers at the end of the day are all buddies and simply don't have any time for misbehaving.
