Bolivian Foreign Minister announces the end of capitalism and Coca Cola

Next December 21, the end of the Mayan calendar, the “Macha” (unbalanced times)  will be replaced by the “Pacha” (times of harmony), announced with emotion the Bolivian Foreign Minister, David Choquehuanca, to a large audience which included President Evo Morales.

He said that this day would mark the end of Coca Cola and its replacement by the “Mocochinchi”, a typical Bolivian soft drink. It will also mark the end of capitalism and the start of a new “community based” era among men, a time for love-making (if you have a good heart, remember you are at 4000 meters above sea level).

Paradoxically the shares of Coca Cola gained 2% after this announcement.

  1. This is an excellent but sad example of the ignorance coupled to plain stupidity and arrogance that runs rife in so many of the South American governments (governments?. Ignorance + Arrogance = a Toxic Cocktail.

A real shame...but it seems that so many "pueblos" readily identify with these dysfunctional idiots who govern them.
