Minister Calls Iran-Venezuela Defense Ties "Strategic"
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian and Venezuelan defense ministers on Tuesday described defense ties between the two nations as "comprehensive and strategic", and called for the further deepening and expansion of all-out relations between Tehran and Caracas.

Speaking during a visit to the Venezuelan Army's cadet training center, Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said defense ties between Iran and Venezuela result from the will of the two countries' leaders. Elaborating on the achievements of Iran's defense industries, he reiterated that those capabilities are parts of the achievements gifted by the Islamic Revolution to Iran. Najjar expressed hope that the visit would bring a leap in the level of the two countries' relations and that the two sides' cooperation would help establish stability and peace in the region and the world and create a deterrent power for Venezuela. Venezuelan Defense Minister Ramon Alonzo Carrizalez Rengifo, for his part, described the Islamic Revolution as a successful, and said Venezuela also pursues the same goals and hopes to achieve them with the cooperation of Iran. The Iranian defense minister, heading a high-ranking military delegation, arrived in Caracas on Monday to promote ties between Iran and Venezuela. During the three-day visit, he is slated to attend meetings with senior political and defense officials of the Latin state.

The underlined phrases illustrate the dictatorial character of the two regimes. It is "the will"of the two leaders that determine military policy in both countries. Iran "will help Venezuela to crete deterrent force". Knowing this couple of madmen, I believe we are heading into a new Missile crisis, like the one in Cuba in the 1960's.

In this post shown above the Iranian News Agency rectifies his mistake of a few hours ago and names the current Venezuelan Minister of Defense correctly as Ramón Carrizales, who is also Vice-President of the "revolutionary" Republic of Venezuela. Anybody can get confused about Venezuelan Ministers since Chavez has had about eight Defense Ministers in the last ten years. After they are no longer ministers they either go to prison, like Baduel, or buy a house in Madrid ( or both).
